pre-task preparation:
1 hold up a puppet and say you r cold. you must wear a hat. put a hat on the puppet. it says “thank you.” continue putting toy clothing on the puppet until it has a hat, a pair of gloves and a scarf on.
2 point to the hat , the gloves and the scarf on the puppet and say the words. repeat for students to follow.
while-task procedure:
1 put the vocabulary picture cards on your desk. say the words and invite individual students top come up and pick out the right card.
2 put up the picture card for “hats” on the board, and put the word card next to it. read the word several tines and ask the students to repeat. do the same with the other 6 new words.
3 open the student’s book. play the cassette tape. ask the students to point to the relevant pictures and repeat the words.
4 put up the picture and word cards on the board in the random order. ask individual students to come up and rearrange them by putting the word cards below their corresponding picture cards, as shown in their student’s book.
5 show students the picture card for “light” and say light begins with the sound “i”. show the word card for “light” and say “l” ”light ”. repeat. show alphabet cards “l’ and “l”. have students compare the capital letter “l” with the small letter “l”. play the tape for the students to follow in their books
post-task activity
draw the outline of sam on the board. put the pictures for the clothing vocabulary items on the table. have individual students come up and put the clothing items ob sam with magnets. then stick the corresponding words next to the picture cards.

1. 学情分析:
三年级学生的年龄一般是八、九岁左右,生性活泼好动,喜欢直观形象思维。学习英语有许多兴趣,但有的学生可能说不好,有的或许不敢说,因此课堂上要多给予学生表扬和鼓励,注重培养学生学习英语的兴趣,鼓励学生大胆说,积极做,勇敢演。同时三年级学生对客观的世界已有一定的认识,对大自然各种天气现象的变化充满幻想和好奇,学习积极性很浓,具有探索的欲望.同时他们对生活也有一点的自理能力,他们能根据天气的变化选择不同的服饰.但不能否认的是他们的自控能力比较弱,在教学中要加入引导教育.
2. 教材分析:
本教材提倡在听、说、读、写、唱、玩、演等多种形式的教学活动中内化学生语言综合应用能力,使学生小学毕业时能轻松达到课程标准二级标准。本课b部分句型操练中用到了很多服装类单词,对第六单元知识起到了很好的复习作用。本课a部分句型中开始出现现在进行时态,让学生对现在进行时的概念和用法有了一个初步的了解,为第八单元学习进行时态在句子中的运用奠定了良好的基础。a部分主要是进行天气类单词的教学,建议如果能把b部分句型“what’s the weather like? it’s …”调整到a部分进行操练,效果会更好。
3.教学目标:
(1)知识目标:能够听懂,会说,会读本课中的句型what's the weather like 理解对话的意思,并能就具体的天气情况进行描述.
(2)能力目标:能够运用所句型描述四种天气情况,并能根据四种不同的天气情况,利用put on, take off, don't forget短语选择不同的应对策略。让学生就自已喜欢的内容进行交际,养成用英语交际的良好习惯;
(3)情感目标:通过谈论自已喜欢的天这个话题,培养学生积极参与课堂教学活动,养成乐于完成任务的好习惯;培养学生热爱大自然,学会生活和自理的良好情感和生活态度.
4.教学重点与难点:
(1)重点:让学生学会用句型what's the weather like 与人沟通,并能根据不同的天气情况,利用put on, take off, don't forget短语选择不同的应对策略.
(2)难点:培养学生通过所学知识进行有效交际的能力.
5.单元教学安排:
a部分第一课时:新授天气类单词

b部分第一课时:新授句型what's the weather like?并进行各种形式的操练。

6.教学方式:我校的学生来自于五湖四海.学生对常识性知识了解的程度不同,通过查阅资料了解祖国各地不同地区的天气情况,通过这一活动让学生看一看,比一比,说一说自己的所见所闻.所以我采用调查法,小组合作法,任务型,tpr等教学方法让学生在情景中学会知识.

自由谈话.了解学生的情况,如学生性名,年龄等等.
(2)用where are you from 句型,调查他们的籍贯.并询问他们的家乡的天气情况.同时课件呈现中国地图,在他们回答的同时让他们指出家乡所在地.
【设计思路】以上两个活动既可以营造学习英语的气氛,调动学生学习英语的积极性,拉近师生的距离,又可以复习巩固第一课时所学词汇和句型,为上好本节课打基础.同时对跨学科知识学习的渗透,学习地理有关知识,培养热爱祖国,热爱家乡的热情.
step3 presentation
(1)介绍我的一个英国朋友peter的背景.peter来自英国,他想来中国玩.他打算去三个地方:深圳,北京和上海.他想知道那里的天气和所要准备的衣服.
(2)首先通过多媒体课件让学生收听天气预报员对深圳天气情况的报告以及需注意事项.内容是:it's hot. take off your sweater. 教师问what's the weather like in shenzhen 然后书写此句型,让学生熟练说出这一句型,并做出回答.学生回答后,教师说:what should peter does 教师做出脱衣服的动作,这样自然过渡短语take off的教授上. 同时让学生进行模仿操练.
(3)用同样的方式呈现北京和上海的天气情况来分别教授put on和don't forget短语.
【设计思路】通过创设一种真实的语言环境,让学生能在真实的情景中学习.通过收听天气预告,可以检查与培养学生听英语的能力与收集信息的能力,使学生养成用英语进行思维的好习惯,为进一步学习英语练就扎实的基本功.

(1)听课文录音,分角色朗读对话,直至熟练说出对话.
(2)穿衣服竞赛游戏.课件准备好一定的衣服.男女比赛.教师或学生用put on, take off 和don't forget短语,让表演的学生"穿"和"脱"衣服,看谁的反映最快.借此来巩固本节课的重点短语.
(3)看以下图片让学生用所学句型进行对话.
【设计思路】单词的教学本身是比较枯燥乏味的,小学生生性好动,具有好胜心理,采用比赛的形式,让学生在反复操练中巩固本课的学习重点,从而达到语言学习的运用和交流作用.

小小天气预报员.通过多媒体课件展示一幅中国地图.让一位学生扮演天气预报员.其他学生根据自己手中的调查表向天气预报员询问自己所需信息.天气预报员可轮流扮演.最后让学生根据自己的调查汇报结果.

【设计思路】小小天气预报员的设计,可以让学生把所学知识运用到实际生活,真正达到"学以致用"的目的.同时它还可以培养学生收集,归纳信息的能力.并让他们学会学习,学会生活,更好的融入社会.

(1)完成活动手册内容.
(2)听录音,说出这天的天气情况,并对朋友提出见意.
(3)分层作业.程度一般的学生只要说出what's the weather like it's hot. take off your sweater. 就可以了.可以让程度好的学生收集当天报纸的天气信息和收看电视的天气预报, 做一个简单的天气表,下一节课进行汇报.
【设计思路】对不同层次学生布置不同的作业要求,让学生自主选择作业,可以让各类学生都变为热情的参与者,有能力的参与者,符合小学生的心理特点,使学生不再把作业当成负担,能够比较主动地完成作业.
【教学后记】学生一般喜欢在游戏中完成自己的学习任务,所以我主要采取游戏学习方式来调动大家的学习兴趣,让学生乐于学习.同时学习英语的新思想是创设情景进行学习,我尝试去创设各种与教学相适应的情景去教学,达到较好的效果.例如第一部分,是导入设计部分.通过出示中国地图和广东地图各个省份和市区的天气情况,让学生猜自己家乡的天气情况,拉进学生的距离,激发学生的上课热情.第二部分,是新课呈现部分.通过介绍peter来中国旅游,想看知道中国北,以此教授put on, take off, don't forget等句型.第三部分是操练巩固部分.我设计了一张有中国各个省份天气情况的地图,让学生轮流做天气预报员,并为市民提出出行建议,学生兴趣很高,达到学以致用的目的.第四部分是实践部分,我出示一张表格,鼓励学生询问天气预报员的天气情况,把表格内的地方的天气情况记录下来,让他们学会学习,学会生活,更好的融入社会.
