¡¡¡¡good evening, ladies and gentlemen:
¡¡¡¡i¡¯d like to start with a group of pictures.
¡¡¡¡"modern and advanced"? this society forgets, and ignores the other twothirds of human beings. it's far from the ideal! we call ideal as a utopian, aplace where reality does not exist. a few people still look forward to theideals. we make fun of them, considering they are naive. will we still becontent to live in such a society, if misfortune drops to us? no! of causenot!
¡¡¡¡when we feel the warmth of the sun, these people, endure great sorrows andpains. can we imagine that? they are our brother and sisters!
¡¡¡¡facing them, will we still complain about our own misfortune?
¡¡¡¡facing them, will we still have the mood shouting for our own freedom?facing them, will we still want to have more and more unnecessary stuff?
¡¡¡¡they are unable to meet their needs, even the basic needs of survival!everyone, as a member of humanity, shouldn't feel ashamed? our luxury deprivedtheir lives, our indifference violated our soul, and our barbarity destroyedhuman civilization!
¡¡¡¡what's the ideal society? it's a society no one worries about their living,a society no one is refused from education, a society everyone can pursuehis/her own happiness! the ideal society is filled with love, joy and kindness.in that society, we can touch the other's hearts, we can share our dreams andmost important, we can just be the true men!
¡¡¡¡let's break the ethnic divide, bridge the gap between rich and poor, handin hand, to build a great wall, protecting us from evil; to construct a steadybridge, connecting reality to the ideal society! let's pursue for that, that'sthe only way to the bright future! they are watching us! thank you!

¡¡¡¡Ladies and Gentlemen:
¡¡¡¡My topic is Honesty.
¡¡¡¡As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a true story.
¡¡¡¡65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.
¡¡¡¡He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 2019, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.
¡¡¡¡When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.
¡¡¡¡Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. I would like to say to all of my friends: Let’s be honest people of good moral character.
¡¡¡¡Thank you very much.

¡¡¡¡Now we are facing two problems of global warming and a shortage of natural resources, both of which are getting more and more serious day by day. Thus, it is important for us to promote a low-carbon lifestyle.
¡¡¡¡Low-carbon lifestyle covers many aspect of our life like transportation, traveling, home-heating, and so on. In order to promote a low-carbon life, some plans must be carried out as follows. Firstly, don’t waste any electricity and water. Remember to turn off the lights and water taps unless we use them. Secondly, we had better take the subways or bus to work, so as to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide. Thirdly, we should use cloth bags for shopping instead of plastic bags, and use recyclable bowls and chopsticks instead of disposable ones, for it can not only save resources, but also reduce pollution. What’s more, it is of great significance to plant more trees, since trees can balance the carbon dioxide emissions.
¡¡¡¡In a word, if we live a low-carbon life from now on, we will have a better environment and more resources left for our descendants.
¡¡¡¡3·ÖÖÓ¸ßÖÐÓ¢ÓïÑݽ²¸åƪ2£ºCan Money Buy Happiness?
¡¡¡¡Can money buy happiness? Different people have different opinions. Some think yes, while others hold the opposite.
¡¡¡¡It is true that with enough money one can buy all the things one wants, and live a life of comfort and security. However, it is equally true that lack of money causes great distress. It is a common view that "money is the root of all evil." The pursuit of money drives many people to cheat and steal. In some places there is nothing that cannot be bought with money, resulting in corrupt societies where everybody is miserable.
¡¡¡¡So, money does not necessarily mean happiness. It all depends on how it is used. If we make honest and sensible use of money, it can be a stepping-stone to happiness l Although money cannot buy happiness, it can make happiness possible if it is employed sensibly.

¡¡¡¡It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone but it takes a lifetime to forget someone. Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth, even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.
¡¡¡¡Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.
¡¡¡¡Always put yourself in the other's shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.
¡¡¡¡A careless word may kindle strife; a cruel word may wreck a life; a timely word may level stress; a loving word may heal and bless.
¡¡¡¡The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
¡¡¡¡Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, ends with a tear. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one smiling and everyone around you is crying.
¡¡¡¡There was once a guy who suffered from cancer, a cancer that can?'t be cured. He was 18 years old and he could die anytime. All his life, he was stuck in his house being taken cared by his mother. He never went outside but he was sick of staying home and wanted to go out for once. So he asked his mother and she gave him permission.
¡¡¡¡He walked down his block and found a lot of stores. He passed a CD store and looked through the front door for a second as he walked. He stopped and went back to look into the store. He saw a beautiful girl about his age and he knew it was love at first sight. He opened the door and walked in, not looking at anything else but her. He walked closer and closer until he was finally at the front desk where she sat.
