第一步 检查作业

第一步 引入话题
lead in the new lesson by presenting some pictures, including some aliens, a horse, a carriage, a bus, a plane, a spaceship, the sun, the moon, the mars, a thatched cottage, a skyscraper, etc. to increase the students' interest. at the same time, ask some questions.
1. how did people travel 1000 years ago?
2. how do you usually go to school?
3. how would you like to go to school in the future?
4. where do you live now?
5. where would you like to live in the future? would you like to live on the moon?
6. can you imagine what life will be like in the future?
第二步 组织讨论
present the form (warming up), and ask a question:
can you imagine what life will be like in the future?
direct the students to have a discussion in groups of 4-6, ask the leader of each group to make a note, and report it to the whole class.
第三步 教师总结
1. evaluate the students' work according to their discussion and report, give them some advice, and then add the teacher’s point of view.

the purpose of this oral practice is to train the students to make a clear and accurate description of some imaginary products, encourage them to give rein to their imagination to design a useful product which can save time, make work easier or help in communication.
第六步 作业布置
1.preview the text first impressions(p17)and the new words and expressions of this unit.
2.(group work)do some research on the changes of life in the future, you can either refer to books or search the internet, and give your point of view on the information that you have got to see which changes are good or bad and give the reasons.(wb project)
